Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for their kind words and support during the first week of theHobSpot. Its been a great first week too with lots of Facebook likes, comments, tweets and even a few Pinterest pins too.
My Vision
My vision for theHobSpot is to make it a great community for people who like to cool lovely food from all round he world. As you may have guessed, social media such as Facebook, twitter, Instagram and Pinterest will play a key role on helping us to grow and nurture our community. This is where you can help by spreading the word and telling your family, friends and colleagues about it.
I’d like theHobSpot to be more like a chat sharing tips over a coffee than an encyclopaedia of recipes (Click to Tweet). There are plenty of those on he Internet already and I’m sure it doesn’t need another. How can we make it so? By interacting. Feel free to share your comments and photos on each of the articles either here on the main site, on the Facebook page, twitter or Instagram. (I’m really getting into Instagram at the moment so please do follow me there, @HobSpot).
Menu suggestions
Very soon I’ll be launching my menu suggestions email. Don’t worry, it’s not a marketing email but rather a collection of ideas for meals I’ll send out each week. That content will only be available to people who register to receive it. From time to time I might add a few other snippets of information too.
The registration form is live on the site now. It’s really quick and easy to do and you will need to confirm your email address. I also promise I’ll keep your details safe and not pass them to a 3rd party. Every email will also have an option to remove yourself too should you wish to do so.

I’ve had a few people get in touch about contributing. This was a lovely surprise and I’m working out how I can make this work. If you have something you’d like to contribute, do send me a postcard and let me know 🙂
